The VSCAN COVID-19 Policy

At the VSCAN we are committed to the health and safety of our clients, their pets, and our hospital team members.

As the COVID-19 crisis has developed and continued to change we have adapted our workflow and services in order to continue providing the same quality of care to our patients and clients.

We make every effort to follow the best information being provided by public health and veterinary authorities and will continue to make adjustments in response to further developments. 

We are still open for all services but have continued with a modified "curbside" policy since the early days of the pandemic.

 

At this time we are strictly limiting clients entering the building to special circumstances including euthanasia.               

For Appointments and Rechecks

  • When you arrive at the hospital, please stay in your vehicle and call 613-748-0364

  • One of our team members will give you complete instructions and meet you at our front door to collect your pet

  • Please have your phone with you

  • A Technician will call you to obtain your pet’s history  

  • Remain in your vehicle and one of our Veterinarians will call you for a consultation over the phone after their neurological examination with their findings and recommendations for procedures or diagnostics – Note – only those approved by you will be performed 

  • Payment may be made over the phone by credit card or e-transfer

  • Your pet will be returned to you at the front door with any medications or information

For Medication Pickups

  • Call 613-748-0364, email info@thevscan.com, or fill out the online form for a refill of your pet’s prescription

  • We will inform you of the process for pickup

  • Payment may be made over the phone by credit card or e-transfer
