* NOTE: Contrast administration it is typically recommended for most CT studies. Please ask if you have questions regarding contrast administration.
*Please review the information below on the outpatient imaging process.
We require CBC and Chemistry results performed within the past 2 months for all outpatient imaging studies. We also recommend recent two view orthogonal radiographs of the chest to be performed for patients 6 years and older.
Please contact us for prices on all outpatient imaging studies.
Our prices include the imaging scan, sedation or anesthesia, day hospitalization, contrast injection if necessary, and a radiologists interpretation of the exam. All of our prices are set in accordance with the current CVO guidelines.
Once we have received a completed request form from the referring service we will contact the owner to set up the appointment.
The complete history, blood work, and radiographs must be received by the VSCAN prior to the appointment for pre-anesthetic screening.
*NOTE: While at The VSCAN the patient will not be evaluated by a neurologist if they are sent for Outpatient Imaging.
*Every outpatient imaging study is overseen by a Board Certified Anesthesiologist as well as a Registered Radiologic Technologist.
Once the study is completed the owner will be notified and a discharge time will be set.
The referring clinic will receive an email confirming that the study was performed and the patient has recovered from anesthesia.
Prior to leaving the client will be required to pay the VSCAN directly for the imaging study.
The VSCAN will email the radiologist interpretation report to the referring doctor within 24 business hours.
It is the responsibility of the referring doctor to share the results with the client.
DICOM images of the study can be sent to the referring service via a cloud based viewing service. CT and MRI studies cannot be sent as jpeg files.
