Kevin was born and lived in Maryland USA until moving to Ottawa to join the VSCAN team in 2017. He has worked in the medical field since 2001 and is a registered radiographer and magnetic resonance imaging technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. In 2005, Kevin graduated valedictorian from the Maryland General Hospital School of Radiologic Technology, and received the UMMS Lois Machinist Award for excellence in patient care.

Kevin worked in human medicine as an MRI technologist for many years until transitioning full-time into veterinary medicine. As the Chief of Imaging with Veterinary Imaging of the Chesapeake in Annapolis MD, Kevin worked 7 more years to refine his skills in radiography specializing in advanced diagnostic imaging techniques for veterinary medicine. While working in Maryland, Kevin lent his skills to performing imaging studies for the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington D.C. as well as the Maryland Zoo and National Aquarium in Baltimore, MD. During his career Kevin has made numerous contributions to the fields of research and product development, as well as academic curriculum, lectures, and papers. 

As part of the VSCAN team Kevin aims to provide the Ottawa region with the best medical imaging possible. He is passionate about providing education and training to those utilizing this technology and those who depend on it for guidance.
